Hilton Rewards Points Can Now Be Used To Buy Stuff On Amazon

Hilton has announced that its rewards members can now use the points they get from stays at hotel properties to buy stuff on Amazon. This is made possible under the newly announced Shop with Points at Amazon option, giving customers a different way to redeem their Hilton Honors points. The new redemption option is available to all Hilton Honors members.

Hilton Honors is the hotel company's rewards program which assigns points as rewards. There are various ways for people to redeem those points, including things related to travel and vacationing. The Amazon redemption offer differs from those things, giving Amazon users the ability to buy goods like they otherwise would, only via the points.

For Amazon's part, the company has been increasingly adding rewards systems to its platform so that various card and rewards members can use the rewards they earn elsewhere on the Amazon platform. The company accepts rewards from its own Visa cards, Discover rewards, Chase Ultimate Rewards, American Express Membership Rewards, and Citi rewards.

Hilton users who are interested in the new option need to perform a one-time link between their Hilton Honors account and their Amazon account. After that, the points are given as a payment option when checking out on Amazon.com or through the apps. Existing Hilton Honors members can link their two accounts here.

The Hilton points can be used on any item, and any amounts of available points can be redeemed, says Hilton. Anyone can join the Hilton Honors program, as well, and then preemptively link it to their Amazon account in anticipation of future points.
