Gwyneth Paltrow Had No Idea She Was In Spider-Man: Homecoming

Gwyneth Paltrow, actress and owner of controversial company GOOP, had no idea she was in the movie Spider-Man: Homecoming. The revelation happened during an episode of "The Chef Show," during which time a conversation turned to confusion when director Jon Favreau brought it up. "I was in Avengers," Paltrow existed, appearing increasingly concerned.

The revelation happened during the first episode of Netflix series The Chef Show featuring chef Roy Choi and actor-director Jon Favreau. The series premiered on the streaming service today, and Paltrow took part in the show's first episode. It was during that episode she learned about her brief appearance in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

It seems, based on the conversation (featured in the tweet above) that Paltrow and Favreau had both participated in the shooting for a Spider-Man: Homecoming scene together. She didn't remember the scene when Favreau brought it up, instead only recalling the moment after he offered a number of details about the shoot.

Paltrow hadn't been informed that the filming was for Homecoming, and instead thought it was for an Avengers movie. The two went back and forth for a bit, with Paltrow initially denying the claim that she was in the Spider-Man movie. Favreau looked a bit amused and surprised that she was unaware of her presence in the Marvel film.

To be fair, Paltrow's scene was very brief and located near the end of the movie; she didn't have any sort of substantial role in the flick. It seems Paltrow had been informed that the scene was being shot for Marvel, but at some point the information was mixed up and she was told it was for Avengers.
