Google Nest Hub Max Gallery

Google's Nest Hub Max takes the idea that the original Nest Hub (née Google Home Hub) was built upon, and adds a much larger display and a camera. Now clocking in at 10-inches, the bigger screen promises better visibility for your Google Photos, as well as for YouTube. There's still Chromecast support for 'casting video from your phone, too.

The speakers have been upgraded, with two tweeters and a woofer now. However it's the 6.5-megapixel camera which is likely to be most controversial. That supports Duo video calls, as well as Face Match facial-recognition to show you personalized information on-screen. You can, if you prefer, turn the camera off with a physical switch on the back.

That also shuts off the Nest Hub Max's gesture control, however. Hold up a hand to the smart display, and it'll automatically pause whatever's playing. It's priced at $229.
