Galaxy S10 Lineup Leaks In Full: iPhone XS To Bonkers
Today we're looking at all the Galaxy S10 smartphones that'll come in the year 2019 with release dates in March. That's just the beginning. The Galaxy S10 family of devices will span at least four different models, if not more. If you could the Galaxy F, foldable smartphone, we're talking at least five – unless you count each individual storage size and RAM as a different model – then we've got a whole lot more than that.
Compared to iPhone XS, XR
The Galaxy S10 lineup will match the three main entries in the current smartphone race from Apple. They won't come in at exactly the same levels – the smallest Galaxy smartphone is the least expensive, for example, while the least expensive iPhone has a larger display than the iPhone XS. But they're there, and they're about ready to compete in a big way.
The names and specifications of the iPhones will change in September, more than likely, but the Galaxy S10 family will be up against the iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max for several months before that Apple event. The war will be fought with these tools.
All the Galaxy S10 Specs
The specifications you're about to take a peek at come from a wide variety of sources and are combined to the best of our ability – before the fact. The big event held by Samsung will reveal the final, true, official specifications – until then, we've got these. The collection begins with the least of the pack, the flat-display-having Galaxy S10E, with a fingerprint sensor on its side.
Samsung Galaxy S10E (Lite):
• Display: 5.8-inches (flat)
• Back Cameras: 2x lens
• Front Camera: 1x punch-hole lens
• Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 855/Exynos 9820
• RAM: 4GB
• Internal Storage: 128GB
• Fingerprint Sensor: Side-mounted
• Connectivity: 4G LTE
• Back: Glass
• Battery: 3000mAh
You'll notice that the back of this device has a 2-lens camera array. None of the other versions of the Galaxy S10 have such a camera setup. The rest have at least 3 cameras on their back. The Galaxy S10E (aka the Galaxy S10 Lite) has just one hole punch through the front display, working much like the rest of the series with full touchscreen abilities and such.
Samsung Galaxy S10:
• Display: 6.1-inches (curved)
• Back Cameras: 3x lens
• Front Camera: 1x punch-hole lens
• Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 855/Exynos 9820
• RAM: 6GB / 8GB
• Internal Storage: 128GB / 512GB
• Fingerprint Sensor: Ultrasonic in-display
• Connectivity: 4G LTE
• Back: Glass
• Battery: 3500mAh
There's some disagreement amongst leaksters about the power of this smartphone, be it a 2 or 3-cam backside, 3500mAh or 3100mAh battery. The device will almost certainly have a display similar to that of the Galaxy S9, what with its Infinity branding and curving off to the right and the left. It'll cover more of the front side of the phone, however, and will have a single hole punch for a frontside camera.
Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus:
• Display: 6.44-inches (curved)
• Back Cameras: 3x lens
• Front Cameras: 2x punch-hole lens (pill shaped)
• Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 855/Exynos 9820
• RAM: 8GB
• Internal Storage: 128GB / 512GB
• Fingerprint Sensor: Ultrasonic in-display
• Connectivity: 4G LTE
• Back: Glass
• Battery: 4000mAh
The Galaxy S10 Plus will be the first of two devices with a pill-shaped punch through its frontside display to make way for two cameras. These cameras will give the device additional abilities not available on the Galaxy S10 or Galaxy S10E. The Galaxy S10 Plus will have three lenses on its back, and both the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus will have Ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensors ready to roll.
The Galaxy S10 Plus will likely have a 6.44-inch display, second only to the biggest beast in the pack: Beyond X. That's the codename for the first 5G smartphone set to see release from Samsung in 2019.
Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus (BEYOND X):
• Display: 6.7-inches (curved)
• Back Cameras: 4x lens (FOUR!)
• Front Cameras: 2x punch-hole lens (pill shaped)
• Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 855/Exynos 9820
• RAM: 10GB / 12GB
• Internal Storage: 1TB
• Fingerprint Sensor: Ultrasonic in-display
• Connectivity: 5G
• Back: Glass
• Battery: 5000mAh
The RAM seems a bit insane in the rumors for the Galaxy S10 Beyond X, but stranger things have happened. There are already several phones on the market today with 10GB RAM – so why not 12? It might be high time to go all-in on RAM, no matter the cost!
The Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus Beyond X model will be released when 5G connectivity becomes available around the world. As such, it might not even hit the United States until the second quarter. Expect some extra big second-wave news at that time, too.
The Samsung Galaxy F foldable smartphone seems like a long shot for showing at this February 20th, 2019 event, but we're sure to see SOMEthing. Samsung wouldn't want to miss the opportunity to get out ahead of the competition once again. That is IF they see enough of an excited market for such a thing.
Price and Release
Pricing on the Samsung Galaxy S10 will likely match that of the Galaxy S9 at launch. The price of the Galaxy S10E will probably be a couple hundred dollars less, to match Apple's entry into the midrange (high end or midrange) with iPhone XR. The Galaxy S10 Plus and Plus Beyond X will cost a significant amount more – and the Beyond X model might well be the most expensive Galaxy phone ever offered.
Estimated Galaxy S10 prices, low to high:
• Galaxy S10E $675
• Galaxy S10 128GB $800
• Galaxy S10 Plus 128GB $900
• Galaxy S10 512GB $1000
• Galaxy S10 Plus 512GB $1100
• Galaxy S10 Plus (Beyond X) with 1TB internal storage $1400
The Samsung Galaxy S10 event is scheduled for February 20th, 2019. This device and the other two of the first three will be shown, more than likely, then put on pre-order the same day. The Galaxy S10 Plus Beyond X will be teased, but probably not shown in full. That device will be released when 5G becomes available in any given region around the world.
We can safely assume that the Galaxy S10 release date is March 9th, give or take a few days, alongside the Galaxy S10E (Lite) and Galaxy S10 Plus. It's possible we'll also see the Galaxy F foldable smartphone at this event, but it's doubtful we'll hear about when the phone will be released to the public – but we'll see! Oh! Also, we'll probably see a few other devices at this event, as well.
