Connectivity includes WiFi, UMTS and Bluetooth, and there are four USB ports, eSATA and a DVI port that supports HDCP encryption.  There's an optional Blu-ray drive, or the modular bay can be used to augment storage with a second hard-drive.

Like an increasing number of systems, the new CELSIUS machines have accelerometer-linked drive protection that locks the heads if the workstation is dropped.  The casing is magnesium and the keyboard spill-proof. Both the CELSIUS H265 and CELSIUS H270 will be available this month, priced from €1,429.00 excluding VAT ($2,100).

Press Release:

Fujitsu Siemens Computers tunes its mobile workstations to top performance

The company launches the new CELSIUS H series with advanced graphics, comprehensive connectivity and Intel's state-of-the-art processor technology

Fujitsu Siemens Computers again has set new standards in the high-end segment with their new generation of mobile workstations: The new CELSIUS H series is a powerful high-capacity system for those industries that require special computer performance and excellent graphics such as graphic design, construction, engineering, or web and industrial design.

The latest Intel® Centrino® 2 processor technology provides top performance to the two workstation models CELSIUS H265 and CELSIUS H270. Both versions have the latest Intel® Core™2 dual processors. The CELSIUS H270 has an option to be configured with the Intel® Core™2 Extreme or the upcoming Intel® Mobile quad-core processors which will be launched this autumn, and thus become a real power station with enormous computer performance. Even graphic-intensive 3D applications that are constantly used in the design and construction business, present no problems to the CELSIUS H series. The CELSIUS H270 is the first mobile 15" workstation with a quad-core processor on the market.

The top-quality NVIDIA Quadro FX 770M with 32 CUDA Parallel Computing Processor Cores supplies high-end graphics; the images are excellent due to the brilliant 15.4" display with high resolution 1680x1050 pixels (WSXGA+) or 1920x1200 pixels (WUXGA). After all, users want to see the full results of their creative skills displayed on the screen. The optional blu ray drive provides HD quality as well.

Nothing but connectivity: the CELSIUS H series has real mobile power

The power user now also has a powerful companion constantly at his side. The CELSIUS H series weighs only 3 kg, yet is still easy to handle in comparison to other mobile workstations. Integrated high-speed UMTS, WLAN and Bluetooth give the user access to company data, e-mail and of course, Internet from any European location. Furthermore, the administrator is never far away since maintenance and problem solving can be handled via remote control thanks to the latest Intel® vPro technology.

A whole armada of interfaces, ranging from four USB ports via one DVI interface and eSata to a serial and a parallel interface, ensure that the CELSIUS H series can find a connection anytime, anywhere. In addition, the DVI output is dual link and thus even can handle high-definition-30" screens. Moreover, it supports HDCP encryption.

The CELSIUS H series has easy and effective contact with its relatives; the developers regard the accessories as belonging to one big family as already used by the Business Notebooks in the ESPRIMO Mobile family from Fujitsu Siemens Computers. The port replicator as well as all the components for the module bay, such as the DVD drive, a second accu or second hard disk, are compatible with all the models in the ESPRIMO Mobile family and can be swapped and replaced as required.

New product design: away from its workhorse image to a stylish accessory

Those working in design every day need a work environment that meets their creative demands. The noble new Fujitsu Siemens Computers product design hits the mark perfectly. Like all the business products from the IT infrastructure manufacturer, the workstations in the new CELSIUS H series are produced in the same "core & shell" design. The black basis and anthracite housing is eye pleasing and as a small design extra, the audio connections in the CELSIUS H series are highlighted in silver. The stable magnesium cover and the spill-proof keyboard as well as the Shocksensor that protects the hard disk indeed prove that beauty and sturdiness can combine.

"Our new CELSIUS H series is the impressive result of intensive cooperation between developers, designers and quality assurance at Fujitsu Siemens Computers. The integration of state-of-the-art technologies provided by our partners NVIDIA and Intel help us to fully meet the expectations of our professional users, indeed surpass them," said Wilhelm Geyer, Director of Workstations at Fujitsu Siemens Computers. "We are convinced that the combination of top-quality graphics and processor performance, plus Fujitsu Siemens Computers' innovative notebook development gives the market a new impulse."

The CELSIUS H series with the models CELSIUS H265 and CELSIUS H270 are available as of mid August priced from 1429,00 Euros (excluding VAT).
