Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass Skins And Unlocks Detailed

Along with today's launch of Fortnite season 8 comes and entirely new Battle Pass for players to work their way through. As with all of the previous Battle Passes, this one adds 100 different tiers to progress through, which all provide a cosmetic item of some kind. Epic has detailed what players can unlock in the new Battle Pass, and the skins for season 8 seem particularly good.

Each season's Battle Pass costs 950 V-Bucks (roughly $10) and can be purchased at any point throughout the season. For 2,800 V-Bucks, players can buy the Battle Bundle, which includes the Battle Pass and the first 25 tiers, but if you play the game regularly, it's better to just pick up the Battle Pass on its own and work through it from the beginning.

For season 8, the skins and cosmetics cover a pretty wide range of themes, including pirates, ninjas, and elves. There's even a banana man skin in there, along with an accompanying dance, so Fortnite players can now revive the classic "Peanut Butter Jelly Time" meme in-game. Buying the Battle Pass immediately unlocks the Blackheart and Hybrid skins, which are progressive outfits that unlock new components as you continue to progress through Battle Pass tiers.

If you managed to finish the 13 overtime challenges at the end of season 7, then you'll get season 8's Battle Pass for free. To claim your free Battle Pass, you simply need to head into the Battle Pass tab on the game's main menu. Epic points out today that those who earned the season 8 Battle Pass for free can also buy the Battle Bundle at a discount, but again, the folks who played enough to get a free Battle Pass probably don't need to spend money on unlocking tiers.

Epic has also introduced a new feature this season called Party Assist, and with it, you and your friends will be able to work together on completing challenges. You can pick a daily or weekly challenge to use with Party Assist before each match, so if you've had difficulty completing all of your challenges in previous seasons, this should help a lot.
