Fortnite Patch Notes: Revolver, Pump Shotgun, 14 Days Of Summer
Just as the sun rises without fail, the weekly Fortnite patch has dropped right on time. Today, we're saying hello to a couple new rarities for the Revolver while an old favorite is making a return. On top of that, we're also seeing the start of a summer event that will offer a daily rotation of 14 different LTMs over the next two weeks. All in all, this seems like a pretty hefty patch, especially if you're a fan of Fortnite's various limited-time game modes.
Let's start with the Revolver. This is a pretty straightforward weapon, but the epic and legendary variants being detailed today will be tough to find. It'll do 63/66 damage depending on rarity, with a headshot multiplier of 2, so you can definitely dish out some major damage if you're accurate with the Revolver.
Of course, as with any revolver, you'll be limited to six shots before you need to reload, so with both that and the damage potential in mind, you'll definitely want to to make sure your accuracy is on point. You'll find the Revolver in floor loot, chests, vending machines, supply drops, and loot carriers, so keep an eye out for it as you traverse the map.
A combination of four different weapons and items have been vaulted with this patch: the rare Tactical Assault Rifle, Impulse Grenades, Rift-to-Go, and the Pirate Cannon. Conversely, four items have been unvauled, including the uncommon and rare Pump Shotguns – an item that used to strike fear in the hearts of Fortnite players everywhere. Joining the Pump Shotgun in emerging from the vault are the Shockwave Grenade, Suppressed SMG, and the common, uncommon, and rare Revolver.
Additionally, a ton of weapons have undergone various tweaks, with many including the Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle, Burst SMG, and Tactical Shotgun having their availability reduced. Others, like the Minigun and the Heavy Assualt Rifle, have actually seem some damage buffs, so be sure to take those for a spin if you come across them in your next game. For more on all of the weapon tweaks, check out Epic's full patch notes on the official Fortnite site.
Finally, we come to Fortnite's latest event, which is appropriately called "14 Days of Summer." Over the course of this event, Battle Royale will see a new weapon unvaulted every 24 hours, along with daily LTMs to play through. There will also be a daily challenge to complete (with a reward for each) and a rotating selection of items in the shop, so in order to see it all, you'll need to log in every day. To see the full list of LTMs that will be featured during the 14 Days of Summer event, have a look once more at the Fortnite website.
