Former Mitsubishi President Convicted For A Recall Scandal But Got Away With Jail Time
Japan's worst recall scandal in decade finally came to an end with a conviction. The Japanese's court has ruled that the former head of Mitsubishi Motors, Katsuhiko Kawasoe and others executives are guilty of professional negligence which involved in a cover-up led to the death of a driver who was killed in his Mitsubishi truck accident due to a faulty clutch housing that was never recalled. Lucky for Mr Kawasoe, the 71 years old doesn't have to worry about dropping the soap. Though the guilty parties were given only suspended sentences with no jail time but that should set an example to the rest of the auto-maker executives, Don't Cut Corner in Auto Industry!
