First Pokemon GO Gen 5 Unova Locations And Tricks List

Today we're going to guide you through the various ins and outs of the first release of Gen 5 in Pokemon GO – Unova Region! This is the first week in which the Unova Region Pokemon are available in the wild, starting on September 16, 2019 – after that, everything we're talking about here will be available for all! Let's begin with eggs, and the first 15x Pokemon from Unova – including Shiny Pokemon!

Pokemon GO Gen 5 Unova eggs

Three different sized eggs available starting yesterday include new Unova Pokemon. Gen 5 Pokemon will not hatch from eggs that'd been found before Monday, September 16, 2019. Every egg found after 1PM PT on the 16th of September, 2019, could potentially have the following:

• 2 km Eggs: Patrat, Lillipup, Purrloin, Pidove

• 5 km Eggs: Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Blitzle, Drilbur, Foongus

• 10 km Eggs: Ferroseed, Klink, Litwick, Golett, Deino

Gen 5 Unova raid bosses

Starting on September 16 and lasting for at least a week, we'll see Patrat, Lillipup, and Klink in raids. These will be some relatively easy Pokemon to knock out, to be sure. This won't be the only wave of Gen 5 Pokemon in Pokemon Gym Raid battles – more will appear in coming weeks.

Region-Specific Gen 5 Pokemon

In the Eastern Hemisphere we'll see Durant, the West gets Heatmor, and three forms of the monkey spread across the world. Pansage, Panpour, and Pansear are all region-specific Pokemon.

• Pansage: Asia-Pacific

• Pansear: North and South America and Greenland

• Panpour: Europe, Africa, India, general Middle-East

• Heatmor: Western Hemisphere

• Durant: Eastern Hemisphere

Pokemon GO Unova wild encounters

Starting in the first week of Gen 5 availability, we'll see a whole BUNCH of Pokemon in the wild. Far more of a wide selection of Gen 5 Pokemon are in the wild now, far more than previously indicated by teasing from Niantic.

Confirmed Unova Wild Pokemon encounters in Pokemon GO:

• Snivy

• Tepig

• Oshawott

• Patrat*

• Lillipup*

• Purrloin

• Pidove

• Blitzle

• Pansage

• Pansear

• Panpour

• Heatmor

• Durant

• Litwick

These are only the Pokemon that've been confirmed as encountered in-game thus far – or in the case of the region-specific Pokemon, confirmed by Niantic. More will be added to this list as we find more Pokemon this week!

*Niantic suggests that there's a chance we'll see Shiny Patrat and Shiny Lillipup this week. These Pokemon (and Klink) are Raid Bosses this week too – so there's a pretty decent chance (better than usual, anyway) that we'll see the Shiny versions of these Pokemon whilst playing this week.

The Unova Stone for Pokemon GO

The Unova Stone is newly active in Pokemon GO. It's actually been in the game's inactive files for a while – but it's active, now! This item will allow some Pokemon to evolve into others.

Pansage + 100 candy + Unova Stone = Simisage

Pansear + 100 candy + Unova Stone = SimiSear

Panpour + 100 candy + Unova Stone = Simipour

Munna + 100 candy + Unova Stone = Musharna

Minccino + 100 candy + Unova Stone = Cinccino

Elektrik + 100 candy + Unova Stone = Elektross

Lampent + 100 candy + Unova Stone = Chandelure

Most of these Pokemon are the lowest in their evolutionary line. Tynamo will be available in the wild, then can be evolved into Elektrik. Litwick will be the first in its evolutionary line, available in the wild, then able to be evolved into Lampent.
