Faraday Future FF91 Gallery

Faraday Future's FF91 is part sedan, part SUV, and thoroughly cutting-edge whatever the definition. It's also not actually a car, at least according to the automaker itself. It prefers to think of the $150,000 to $200,000 luxury vehicle as a "giant consumer device on wheels" and the beginnings of a new services economy.

As consumer devices go, the FF91 certainly stands out. Fully electric, with all-wheel drive and up to 1,050 horsepower on tap to play with, it's a lavish private-jet-for-the-road with a cabin that has more screens than your local Best Buy. Eleven different displays – including a huge 27-inch panel that folds down from the ceiling for the rear passengers – add up to more than 100-inches of screen in total.

Then there's the recliner-style rear seats, and the semi-autonomous driving, and the custom voice control system built on top of Android Automotive Embedded. Faraday says the FF91 will be the first of a family of EVs, all using its modular battery architecture that allows for flexibility in battery pack size and, thus, vehicle range and wheelbase. If all goes to plan, the automaker hopes to have FF91 in production by late 2020.
