Digital Storm DAVINCI Workstation Gets Overclocked Core I7-940X

Having shown you Digital Storm's madly-overclocked BlackOPS gaming PC yesterday, now it's the turn of their updated workstation, the DAVINCI, to get Intel's latest Core i7-980X Extreme processor.  The chip finds its way into the mid-range DAVINCI Professional model, kicking off at $4,995 (with a $350 discount if you scamper over and buy one straight away) complete with 12GB of DDR3 memory and NVIDIA PNY Quadro FX 1800 768MB graphics.

As you might expect, the DAVINCI is targeted at video, audio and image editing rather than gaming.  Still, Digital Storm will also happily overclock it for you before shipping it; as before, $248 will get you up to 4.4GHz out of the already potent hexacore chip.

There's also liquid-cooling and an optional Blackmagic Design HD Intensity Pro card which throws in a couple of HDMI inputs and some other A/V connectivity.  The newly updated Digital Storm DAVINCI workstation is available to order now.
