Canoo may not be a household name, but the automaker is hoping to become a familiar sight on streets as it unveils its all-electric delivery vans. The Canoo Multi-Purpose Delivery Vehicle – or MPDV – is an EV take on the last-mile, using the automaker startup's proprietary electric skateboard architecture. That basically bundles the batteries, drive motors, and both steer-by-wire and brake-by-wire tech into a low-profile slice.

On top of that the MPDV1 and MPDV2 will mount different body sizes, suiting different use-cases. There'll be three different battery sizes, too, with different load capacities depending on how much space is set aside for range. That will span from 90 miles to 230 miles, configuration-depending.

Inside, there'll be maximum flexibility, Canoo says, depending on the needs of the company. That includes exterior lockers, slide-out ramps, or – if you have a big enough order in mind – a completely custom body instead. Pricing should kick off from $33,000 and limited production is expected to begin in 2022.
