Canadian computer solves the game of checkers

If you've ever felt the need to sit down and play a game of checkers with a computer, don't bother anymore. You simply cannot win. It's not that the odds of you beating it are slim to none, it's that it is completely impossible.

A Canadian computer named Chinook has been analyzing the game of checkers since 1989, and has gone through every single one of the 500 quintillion (no, I'm not making that word up) possible checkers positions. It can now end every single game with either a win or a draw.

I never really thought that checkers was that complicated of a game, as I was always a chess player myself. If you still think that you can somehow beat the computer at checkers, you're welcome to give it a shot.
