Cadillac Lyriq Gallery
Cadillac promised melodrama for the Lyriq all-electric crossover, and sure enough that's what it delivered. The luxury crossover EV should have more than 300 miles of range to go with its eye-catching looks, and a cabin overflowing with tech. Problem is, there'll be a crowded market by the time the production model actually arrives in dealerships.
Production isn't expected to begin until late in 2022, Cadillac concedes. That'll give it time to figure out how much range, exactly, it'll get from its Ultium battery tech, and how much power the Lyriq will have. All-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive versions have been confirmed, and Super Cruise is onboard to ease your pain on the highway.
Inside, there's a vast LED screen that takes up almost the whole dashboard. Cadillac then throws in an augmented reality head-up display, using a dual-pane system that can float two levels of graphics into the driver's line of sight. Clever stuff, but the big question is whether it'll seem quite so impressive by the time the production Lyriq goes on sale.
