Behold, Furbacca: The Furby Chewbacca
The very first licensed Furby toy in the history of Hasbro's Furby lineup is, appropriately, from Star Wars. Furbacca, he's called, and he's part of Hasbro's return to the market with the Furby brand. Chewbacca's visage might be slightly less recognizable than your average licensed Star Wars collectible or toy – coming with the standard yellow beak of the Furby rather than his own furry set of chompers. Is this a one-off, or is this the start of something great for Hasbro's strange, speaking electronic friend collection?
Furbacca appeared in a couple of places this week. This Star Wars creature is coming to Toy Fair in NYC, but he's also made a quite stop over at the offices at Mashable. There they recorded this masterpiece:
This Furbacca creature speaks in Wookie – growls and groans and the like – and does things like sing the Star Wars theme. He's from a pack of new-age Furbies collection called "Furby Boom."

If pricing holds up with the rest of the Furby Boom toy collection, you'll see this Furbacca toy appearing for between $35 and $45 USD later this year.
UPDATE: It would appear that a $79.99 price structure is going to start in around Furbacca. We'll expect more licensed Furby creatures to appear in the near future as well. Can't just have one!
We can't wait to see what's inside!
