- Rahul has been with all things electronics since he was a kid. His fascination for gadgets and the urge to know how they function often meant that his house was full of dismantled electronic items he couldn't put back together.
- In 2003, he became part of Esato Forums — a community for Sony Ericsson users. His time at this tech-focused forum not only gave him a deep understanding of the mobile phone industry, but also honed his writing skills.
- The emergence of smartphones in the mid-2000s, combined with his penchant for writing, meant that he was among the lucky few who could turn their passion into a full-time career.
Experience
Rahul has been writing about technology and consumer electronics for over 15 years. He started off at Techtree — an Indian tech portal in 2008. The initial years of his career centered around the vibrant smartphone market that is India. Later, he joined Onlygizmos as managing editor there and also had brief stints at MobileGeeks and iPhonehacks. 2015 witnessed Rahul joining MySmartPrice — one of India's most popular gadget research platforms as a Senior Editor. He spent the next five years helping MySmartPrice build one of India's most popular gadget portals. More recently, Rahul has focused his attention on the global smartphone industry and was the Senior Editor at European tech portal NextPit, and also contributes to DigitalTrends.
Education
Rahul enrolled in a graduate program in computer applications at the Madurai Kamaraj University's remote campus in Mumbai. He also has a Diploma in Computer Science from Aptech.
