Experience
Jesus has worked as a professional writer for 10 years. His first taste of the craft began as a reporter for university newspapers before graduating in 2015. Since then, his ability as a wordsmith has given him different opportunities to write for pay, working in advertising agencies, law firms, used car dealerships, and corporate marketing teams. Still, his ambition has always focused on automotive journalism. In 2016, he joined the Texas Auto Writers Association, becoming the youngest member in its history, and launched his website, Jesus Behind the Wheel. Jesus has worked as a contributing writer for Hot Cars, Drive Tribe, Motorious, Quattro Magazine, IMBOLDN, as a weekend editor for The Drive, and formerly held the position of marketing content writer for XPEL Inc. Jesus is currently an automotive columnist for the Houston Chronicle newspaper. He joined Static Media in late 2024 and has been putting his personal and professional obsessions for all things transportation into crafting engaging written content for SlashGear.
