- Eric's introduction to video games came in 1992, when he received a Sega Genesis with Sonic the Hedgehog for his birthday — he's been playing games ever since.
- The classic Jeep CJ7 is Eric's favorite car. He has a lot of fond memories of taking the doors off his dad's old CJ7 and cruising around town on summer days.
- Years of testing and covering smartphones have given Eric an extensive knowledge of the consumer technology space, including all of its major players.
Experience
Eric has been writing about consumer technology for the better part of two decades, getting his start with small, personal blogs before landing his first gig writing for Thoughts from the Sidelines in 2010. That was followed by his first of two stints at SlashGear, where he dove in head-first by making CES 2012 his first in-person event. Following that initial run at SlashGear, Eric wrote for other sites such as Android Headlines and even tried his hand at selling phones before returning to SlashGear in 2016 to head up the website's gaming coverage. Ever since then, Eric has been helping SlashGear along the road to becoming the best source for consumer tech and automotive news on the internet.
Education
Eric attended Lansing Community College in Lansing, MI, but dropped out to pursue a career in writing.
