Aston Martin Valhalla Gallery
Hybrid skeptics, meet your match. Aston Martin has revealed its latest supercar, and the new production-ready Valhalla may be a PHEV but it's no Prius. Instead, it's an F1-inspired beast, capable both of zero-emissions driving and of blistering track speed.
The drivetrain uses an AMG-supplied 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 gas engine, paired with two electric motors. In EV mode it can drive for about 9 miles on battery power alone; switch to the other drive modes, and you get the maximum 937 horsepower. 0-62 mph, Aston Martin says, is 2.5 seconds away, while the top speed is 217 mph.
Outside, there's a mixture of active aerodynamics and generally striking design. The dihedral doors open onto a newly pared-back cabin, with a fair amount of tech available through the new infotainment system.
