Archos 5 160GB And 32GB Android Tablets Now Shipping In US

Having gone up for pre-order midway through September, certain models of Archos 5 Android Internet Tablet are now listed as in-stock and ready for delivery by Amazon.  The 160GB hard-drive version, together with the 32GB flash model, are both shipping now; however the remaining versions – of which Amazon only list the 500GB tablet – are still only available for preorder.

The 160GB model is priced at $389.99, while the 32GB version is $369.99; you'll need $499.99 for the largest, 500GB Archos 5 Android IT.  Although the flash version has far less capacity, it is thinner: around 11mm, in fact.

Each runs Android with Archos' PMP UI on top, and has WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity together with a 4.8-inch WVGA touchscreen.  Full details on the Archos 5 here; plus there's our own hands-on video demo below.
