Arc Vector Gallery

Electric cars are taking hold, but what about two wheeled transportation? British startup Arc hopes to do for EV bikes what Tesla did for cars, and the Vector is how it'll achieve that. The luxury EV bike has up to 200 miles of range, but also does 0-62 mph in under 3.1 seconds.

It's been designed with the human machine interface in mind from the outset. The bike itself is super-lightweight, using carbon-composite and other featherlight materials, while instrumentation is shifted from the handlebars to the helmet. That has a head-up display and an integrated rear-view camera.

The matching jacket, meanwhile, is laced with haptic motors. They can give a subtle warning of traffic in the rider's blind spot, feedback on how close to the limit the bike is, or even just vibrate for more bass in your music. Impressive stuff, but so is the price, with each of the hand-made Vector bikes coming in from £90,000 ($118k).
