Samsung Galaxy S20 5G Release Date, Deals, And Pricing Revealed [UPDATES]

Today the Samsung Galaxy 20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra were revealed today right alongside the Galaxy Z Flip. Right now we're running down the release date for each individual device as well as pricing and carrier details. Galaxy S20 Release Date

The Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra will be released on March 6, 2020. Preorder date for Galaxy S20 is February 21, and will last right up until the first days of March. Preorders will get somewhere between $100 and $200 in Samsung credit – which you might well want to spend on those new Galaxy Buds+ while you're at it.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 with 5G will start at approximately $1k – technically $999.99, but you know how it is. That Galaxy S20 standard will come in Cosmic Gray, Cloud Blue, or Cloud Pink colors. The Galaxy S20 is the smallest of the bunch – there's also a Galaxy S20+ and S20 Ultra.

The Galaxy S20+ will launch in Cosmic Gray, Cloud Blue, or Cosmic Black. This slightly larger model will also have 5G connectivity right out the gate, and its starting price will be approximately $1200 USD. Samsung says it'll start specifically at a suggested retail price of $1,199.99 USD at launch.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra will come only in Cosmic Gray or Cosmic Black. It'll also have 5G right out the gate, and it'll have a slightly higher price than its cohorts. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra will have a starting price of $1,399.99, which is one cent away from $1400 USD.

UPDATE: Verizon preorders for the Samsung Galaxy S20+ and S20 Ultra begin on February 21. Galaxy S20+ and S20 Ultra will be released to Verizon stores on March 6th, 2020.

"We will have a version of the GS20 in Q2 that will work on Verizon's 5G Ultra Wideband (MMW) network," said a Verizon representative. "All three phones will work on Verizon's 5G Ultra Wideband network AND our 5G low-band network that we will be launching later this year. "

The S20 will start at $41.66 a month for 24 months on Verizon Device Payment (0% APR; $999.99 retail). The S20+ (plus) will start at $49.99 a month for 24 months on Verizon Device Payment (0% APR; $1,199.99 retail). The S20 Ultra will start at $58.33 a month for 24 months with a Verizon Device Payment (0% APR; $1,399.99 retail).

Verizon also suggested that they are participating in the same sort of offer revealed by Samsung itself – "Get up to $200 in Samsung credit when a customer preorders a Galaxy S20+ or Galaxy S20 Ultra. Customers can redeem the offer using the Shop Samsung application."

UPDATE 2: T-Mobile release dates and pre-order info includes a pre-order date of February 20 at 9:01pm PT. The in-store date for the Galaxy S20 and S20 Ultra in T-Mobile stores is March 6, 2020. It would appear that retail pricing will be identical to that of Samsung and Verizon's retail prices listed above.

UPDATE 3: AT&T has the Galaxy S20 available for $33.34 per month for 30-months, with required installment/0% APR agreement. The retail price at AT&T is the same as the rest, starting at $999.99 USD. That's for the S20 with 128GB internal storage – the base model.

AT&T pricing for the Galaxy S20 Ultra is $46.67 a month for 30 months with required installment/0% APR agreement. The AT&T retail price is $1399.99, just like T-Mobile USA and Verizon and Samsung.

The 512GB edition of the Galaxy S20 Ultra is 53.34 a month for 30 months with required installment/0% APR agreement. The retail price of the S20 Ultra with 512GB internal storage with AT&T is $1599.99 – no small chunk of change!

Galaxy Z Flip Release Date and Price

The Galaxy Z Flip will be released on Valentine's Day 2020. That's February 14, 2020, and it'll appear in limited numbers in only a couple of countries. This is likely an effort to drum up interest in the device via social media superstars and influencers aplenty before a larger launch – but we shall see!

Launch colors for the Galaxy Z Flip are as follows:

• Mirror Black

• Mirror Purple

• Mirror Gold

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip will be available in Mirror Black, Mirror Purple, and in extra-limited numbers in a third color: Mirror Gold. UPDATE: AT&T stores will also have the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2020. They'll have the phone online and in physical store locations in the following cities: Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, and New York City.

NOTE: The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip does not have access to mmWave 5G or sub-6 5G at all. It's pretty much a 4G LTE device in full effect.
