620 South Ocean Is Possibly The Most Expensive Green Home To Be Built

One Mr. Frank McKinney is taking on this massive project. It is good that he is making this home since he is well known for making large, lavish and luxurious mansions along the Florida coast that sell for millions.

This particular home will cost roughly $29 million dollars. What do you get for that kind of money? Well not counting the green features of the home, you get a great location, a beautiful home, and 8 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, 2 elevators, 2 laundry rooms, 2 wine cellars, 1 movie theater, 1 air purification system, and a guest house.

The green features aren't a short, or cheap, list either. Starting with the environmentally friendly lighting inside, then going to the $120k solar panel system, which on some days is enough alone to power the whole house. From there, there is a water collection system that can collect enough runoff in 14 days to fill a swimming pool. There is also several reflecting ponds and water gardens made to cool down the huge property by 2 or 3 degrees. Then they recycled teak instead of using Brazilian Cherry which saved about seven and a half acres of Brazilian forest. They are also going to somehow utilize 340k pounds of trash and junk. It should be done by January '09 and will sell for at least $29 million, if Frank is lucky.
