2022 Mercedes-Benz EQB Gallery

Mercedes-Benz's EV range keeps growing, and now there's a new three-row SUV to whet the appetite. Unveiled at Auto Shanghai 2021, the 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQB takes the GLB and gives it a pure-electric makeover. Both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions will be offered, with up to 268 hp to play with in European configurations. China will get a locally-made version, in flagship spec with AMG Line trim, with 288 hp on tap.

Various battery sizes will be offered in Europe, with Mercedes talking range closer to launch. They'll charge via up to 100 kW DC fast charging or 11 kW AC Level 2. Navigation with Electric Intelligence software is standard, automatically factoring in charging stopovers on trips that exceed the current battery level.

Inside, there'll be 5- and 7-seat configurations. The third row, Mercedes says, is scaled for people up to 5 foot 4 inches, or for child seats. No word on pricing, but we should know more before the EQB arrives in the US in 2022.
