2020 Audi A6 Avant Gallery

Audi's A6 Avant gives wagon-lovers something to lust over, a shapely four-door with room for the family and more than enough cargo capacity. Designed to make you forget whatever urge you might have had to purchase an SUV, the A6 Avant has already spawned a 3.0-liter TFSI turbocharged V6 gas engine with a mild-hybrid system, and a Euro-only diesel. However for the 2020 model year, Audi has a plug-in hybrid too.

That's the 2020 Audi A6 Avant 55 TFSI e quattro, and it combines a 2.0-liter TFSI gas engine with an electric motor. There's permanent all-wheel drive, along with a 0-62 mph time of 5.7 seconds. In EV mode, it's rated for just short of 32 miles of electric-only driving on the WLTP cycle.

Audi's clever navigation system can take into account destination, driving style, traffic conditions, and more to figure out when to use electric power and when to run the gas engine in the car's Hybrid mode, meanwhile. It's also eligible for certain European EV credits, country depending.
