2018 Hyundai Elantra GT Gallery

The 2018 Hyundai Elantra GT is an all-new version of the automaker's entry-level compact hatchback. Based on a different platform than the Elantra sedan, the GT brings European styling and ride sensibilities into the American market, along with a healthy dose of practicality.

The Hyundai Elantra GT's 55 cubic feet of total cargo space give it a hefty advantage over a number of SUVs and crossovers on the market, not to mention other hatchbacks. It also provides the option of a Sport model, which introduces a rear stabilizer bar, a multi-link rear axle, and somewhat stiffer spring settings.

The Elantra GT is initially outfitted with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that's rated at 162 horsepower. The Sport benefits from a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 201 horses and 195 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed manual is standard with either motor, but automatic transmission choices vary: the naturally-aspirated base model offers a six-speed, torque-converter autobox, while the Sport can be had with a seven-speed dual-clutch automated manual design.
