2016 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Gallery

Toyota's RAV4 Hybrid takes the company's compact SUV and gives it a jolt of electrification. Pairing a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with two electric motors – one for the front and one for the rear – the four-door has permanent all-wheel-drive and a CVT transmission.

Inside, the 2016 RAV4 is a more grown-up place than its predecessors, though Toyota is still a CarPlay and Android Auto hold-out.

The big advantage to the hybrid powertrain is the fuel economy. Toyota and the EPA say that the SUV should manage 34 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway.
