2016 Smart ForTwo
What's new with the Smart ForTwo is just as important as what hasn't changed. The length of 8.8-ft remains the same. Lengthening the ForTwo is an absolute no-no according to Dr. Annette Winkler. The car is now nearly four inches wider, while the turning circle is down to 22.8-ft. It's still rear wheel drive and the engine is also in the rear. More importantly the changes to the second generation ForTwo include larger headlights with LED running lamps — the frontal design is much happier looking.

898cc - turbocharged, three-cylinder engine
Driving in circles is fun and driving around town (which we did) is a whole lot of fun. The 898cc, turbocharged, three-cylinder engine is zippy cranking out 89 horsepower and 100 pound-feet of torque – nearly doubling the predecessor.
The new six-speed, dual-clutch Twinamic automatic transmission is new and there's also a manual transmission available as well.
