There may not be many British supercars on the market, but when it's wearing a McLaren badge you know it's something special. The 2016 650S Spider drops the fixed roof from its 650S sibling and replaces it with a folding hard-top instead, with lashings of carbon fiber meaning only an 88 pound weight increase as a result.

There's a V8, but it's not the 5+ liter monster you might be expecting. Instead, McLaren "makes do" with 3.8-liters and twin-turbocharging, delivering 500 lb-ft of torque and 641 horsepower.

0-62 mph in three seconds. 0-100 mph in 5.8s. And all the way on to a top speed of 204 mph.
