2015 Chevrolet Colorado GearOn Edition To Debut This Month

Later this month at the Chicago Auto Show, Chevrolet will introduce its Colorado GearOn Edition truck, tacking the GearOn accessory system onto its 2015 Colorado mid-size pickup. The GearOn system includes a variety of rails, rings and such for tying down gear, whether its sporting equipment, tools, or supplies. In addition to the GearOn accessories, the truck also features some changes over the regular 2015 Chevrolet Colorado, including things like glossy black 18-inch aluminum wheels. We've all the details after the jump.

The GearOn system caters to those who regularly tote around a lot of gear in whatever form, and even makes it possible to mount a tent in the bed. Rails run across the upper part of the bed, allowing things like bikes to be mounted while leaving room beneath for other smaller items.

In addition to the GearOn system, the new edition will offer an EZ Lift/Lower tailgate, those glossy black wheels, off-road assist steps, Chevy bowtie emblems on the rear and front, a grille the same color as the body, defogger on the rear window, fog lamps on the front, and remote start.

The 2015 Chevrolet Colorado GearOn Edition will make its public debut on February 13, and will be available for purchase later this spring starting at $31,250 USD. The GearOn system will be available on the LT models with both extended/crew configurations and short/long cargo beds (and also 4WD). Check out the timeline below for other Chevy news.
