Twitter Adds New Email Sharing Option For Tweets

For a long time Twitter assumed if you wanted to share a tweet, you would just tweet it to your followers or friends. The problem with that was there still a large number of people out there who aren't on Twitter that you might want to share with. Twitter has finally announced new a sharing option that will help keep friends not on Twitter in the loop.

If you're an avid Twitter user who comes across something that you would like to share with a friend who isn't on Twitter, you can now do that with e-mail sharing. Twitter announced the availability of e-mail sharing yesterday. Before this feature, one of the only ways to share a tweet with someone not on the service was to take a screen shot and e-mail that or post it to another service such as Facebook.

Twitter says access the new e-mail sharing option all you need to do is click the "More" icon next to the reply on the Twitter interface. The e-mail sharing allows you to add your own comment before you share.

The e-mail your friend receives will have your comments and the tweet in one message. The sharing service will allow you to share any tweet, even if it has a photo attached. I'm sure there are a lot of people out there who have been clamoring for an e-mail share option for a long time and it's finally here.
