Toshiba U500 Ducati Laptop Gets Pictured And Gawked At

We're sure that Toshiba could announce some more things, but this is getting ridiculous. This time around, we've got a laptop, and one that's sure to attract some onlookers, if for anything else because it's Ducati-branded. Getting a name-brand, on top of the manufacturer's name brand, isn't a new practice, especially for company's hoping they can get an extra buck or two from it. Although, it is nice to see an actual Ducati right next to the laptop. It definitely gives the little piece of tech a more attractive appeal.

Information about Toshiba's U500 Ducati laptop is pretty scarce at the moment, but what we do know is this: an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 graphics card is under the hood, along with a Core 2 Duo 8700 processor and 4GB of RAM. It looks like it's the perfect machine to run that upcoming Windows 7, we know you're clamoring for (if you didn't get a Snow Leopard, we mean).

There isn't a word on availability or release date, but considering the branding and inspiration of Toshiba's laptop, we can probably guess it won't be the cheapest one on the market, whenever it does launch. We'll keep you updated (as always) when this thing gets closer to a real life shelf-date, or when that inexorable video gets unveiled. If you're a Ducati fan, maybe it's time you got one step closer to finishing up that collection of memorabilia, with a brand new, shiny laptop.
