The Daily Slash: November 11 2010
Double Slash! Today is the first day we've ever run a post by the name of "SlashGear Morning Wrap-Up" for those of you who just can't wait until nighttime to get your daily dosage of technological gear news in list form. Then, it was a day just bursting at the seams with information about one phone: Nexus S. This Nexus S, also known by its codename Samsung GT-i9020, was today first accidentally(?) outed by Best Buy in a momentary broken online ad, then there were photo leaks and secret updates leading to a possible name confirmation, then another Best Buy leak leading to the date November 14 for store displays! Coincidence? Just about as much coincidence as a My Little Pony turned soldering iron.SlashTOAST
Hi there! Welcome to today's SlashSOMETHING, or whatever you'd like to call it, a place where we find something that we either missed during the regular working day, found later in the day, or found too strange to have in our average posting schedule. I must admit the "strange" bit doesn't really follow since I posted a My Little Pony soldering iron today, but heck, sometimes these things happen. Today it's SlashTOAST because hooray! The band OK Go has created another music video. This one they more than likely got BANK for because it's a stop-motion video all photographed with a rather specific camera, the Samsung NX100 iFn. The end of the video has the message "This video was made in partnership with Samsung NX100 iFn." If you rock like these guys and have an idea about toast, or if you're on stage wearing a meat dress and have the opportunity to answer a Verizon phone and make $10billion dollars, do it. You only get so many chances in this life to make bank, so make sure to make bank when you can, where you can, and how you can. Especially when it has to do with toast.
