Sonos Adds XM Streaming To Multiroom Audio Systems

Sonos has announced that it has now expanded its options for streaming media services to its multiroom audio systems like the S5 pictured here. Sonos now offers XM satellite radio subscribers the ability to stream and enjoy SiriusXM radio on the Sonos audio gear. Sirius satellite radio has been able to stream on the audio gear for years.

Sonos says to listen to your SiriusXM on the S5 all you need is a subscription to the satellite radio service and one of the Sonos controllers like the app for iPhone, iPad, or the recently unveiled Android app when it lands in March. Access to the music is available from the menu of any of the controller apps.

SiriusXM subscriptions are $2.99 monthly for an internet radio subscription when added to an existing satellite radio account for your car or home or $12.95 monthly for an internet only account. Those that already have an account are ready to go according to Sonos, but the passwords have to be updated in your SiriusXM account to be compatible with Sonos.
