Ice Cream Sandwich allows you to hide apps – but so does the Motorola RAZR

There's a new feature in Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich that has quite a few people having a heard attack with glee - the ability to "hide" applications that you'd otherwise not be able to get rid of. These apps are generally calls bloatware because they're added to the basic build of the device and cannot be deleted by the user (unless of course they hack the device.) What this new function will bring is the ability to shut these apps out of your device ALMOST entirely - save for the amount of space they take up in a very rudimentary sense. What you might not know is that both the Motorola DROID RAZR and the DROID BIONIC both have this ability already - no Ice Cream Sandwich required!

If you have been counting the days to get your hands on the awesome Motorola Droid Bionic Android smartphone the launch is now very close. Motorola has now confirmed that the smartphone will be hitting Verizon on September 8. This will be one of the better Android smartphones of the year. We know we're getting close to the launch of the much delayed Motorola Droid Bionic when we start seeing official Verizon teaser videos for the phone. Samsung Galaxy S II USA Family Confirmed, Verizon May Be Next

Samsung Galaxy S II USA Family Confirmed, Verizon May Be Next

It appears very likely, now that we've got a cool slightly pixelated photo and everything, that Samsung will be releasing the Samsung Galaxy S II in the USA next week on three of the big four USA carriers with slightly different configurations, software and hardware included. What we're still not clear on is why news has popped up surrounding Verizon not being on this list. Given another bit of very possibly legit information we got this morning, a Samsung Galaxy S II upgrade is on the way as well, this time with a slightly larger 4.5-inch display and 4G LTE capabilities. What could this possibly mean for Verizon?

Samsung Galaxy S II Verizon Model Possibly Axed

Samsung Galaxy S II Verizon Model Possibly Axed

It appears that the largest network in the United States will not be carrying the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone, a flagship device for the manufacturer and one of the best selling phones in the world at the moment. As the Wall Street Journal reports, having spoken with "people familiar with the plans," each of the other "big four" carriers will be carrying the device inside September, blue, yellow, and pink being the lot of them, but apparently Verizon has declined to move forward with the Samsung dual-core device. Samsung's Kim Titus has confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S II would indeed be unveiled in the USA next week, but declined to comment any further on the group's plans for carriers.

We have been pretty excited around here at the thought of the Motorola Droid Bionic. The smartphone has surfaced in a few leaks so far including some pics of the hardware earlier this month. The Droid Bionic has leaked again this week when it turned up in what appear to be leaked photos of coming Best Buy ads and it is listed as "coming soon." I wish the ad had a firm launch date.
