Samsung Budget Handset - SGH-X520
Sometimes, amid the Treos and the KRZRs, the Dashes and the Vertus, we forget that there are people out there who don't care about push email and wouldn't really give a damn about moblogging. People who just want a relatively attractive handset that's lightweight, straightforward to use and, perhaps most of all, cheap. Thankfully Samsung have taken time out from squashing high-spec-tech into a tiny chassis and created the SGH-X520 budget handset.
So what do you get for your money? There's a 128x160 pixel, 65,000 colour display, a 0.3 megapixel camera and mp3 ringtone support, oh, and a built-in FM radio. Absent features include , Bluetooth, any form of expandable memory and a dedicated MP3 player.
It's lightweight, it's straightforward, it's reasonably attractive. Should hit the pay-as-you-go shelves by Christmas.
