PocketBook Outs New IQ Android Tablet And 602 Android eReader
If you have been hoping more Android-powered tablets and eReaders will hit the market in time for Christmas shopping, you are in luck. A company called PocketBook has now started shipping a couple new offerings for Android fans including the IQ tablet and the 602 eReader.
The IQ tablet gets a 7-inch color LCD screen, Android 2.0 operating system and a 533MHz CPU. The screen resolution is 800 x 600 and is touch sensitive. Other features include a USB port, headphone jack, WiFi, Bluetooth, and a 1600mAh battery inside good for 245 hours of use per charge. The device supports eReader duties and has text to speech. The best feature of the thing is the price at $149.99.
The 602 eReader has a 6-inch screen that uses E-ink tech with 16 shades of gray. That screen will be easy to view in direct sunlight and the internal battery is good for 14,000 page turns or about two hours of reading each day for a month with no recharge. It packs in WiFi and Bluetooth plus support for text to speech to read books to you. It also has 2GB of internal storage and both of the devices have expansion with SD cards. It sells for $179.
