Pioneer DDJ-WeGo2 DJ Controller Aims At DJ Noobs
If you've ever looked into how much the hardware costs to become a DJ, you may be shocked at how expensive DJ gear can get. Some DJs spend thousands of dollars on single components to help mix their own custom tunes. Pioneer has a new DJ controller aimed squarely at the budding DJ with a limited budget called the DDJ-WeGO2 compact DJ controller.
This DJ controller is available in red, black, or white color options and has multicolored LED backlighting for the jog wheel. The user can customize the color for the interface using the included software. The DDJ-WeGO2 is also compatible with the iPhone or iPad when using the included Lighting connector cable.
Those Apple gadgets can run the available Pioneer djay application to allow access to and playback of music stored on the devices. DJ software is available for both Windows and Mac computer users and the controller supports other DJ software available on the market. Pioneer's budget DJ controller is designed to get power from the USB port of the user's computer eliminating the need for an external power supply making the device more portable.
Measurements for the DDJ-WeGO2 are 14.9 x 8.2 x 2.5-inches and the device weighs under 4 pounds without the stand. The controller will launch in October with an MSRP of $429. The price for the device features integrated effects controllers including a Jog FX wheel, Pulse Control, and integrated audio ports for input and output of content.
