Panasonic Adds A Trio Of Blu-Ray Players, One With VHS Desk

Seems like just months ago we reported about the pre-ordering for Panasonic's DMP-BD35 and DMP-BD55 Blu-ray players. They are back in fast lane to unveil a new lineup, a trio of Blu-ray players – DMP-BD60, DMP-BD70V and DMP-BD80 – with schedule to deliver next month.

The new lineup are fully loaded models with latest goodies from high definition audio decoders to BD live. Power consumption has been reduced while adding VIERA Cast's internet connection to stream videos from Amazon, Google's Picasa, Youtube and among many others popular online apps, as well as a single remote AV component control from the VIERA Link function.

The good news is despite adding features, prices stay the same. The base model BD60 starts at $299. With $100 more, the BD80 adds 7.1-analogue channels output, while the DMP-BD70V gets VHS deck support. Yes, you read it right, that's the first Blu-ray/DVD/VHS combo player in the market.
