Nintendo to ship substantially more Wii's for the holidays

If you're going to go looking on store shelves for a Wii, chances are that you'll be sorely disappointed. Then again, if you actually thought you'd be able to waltz into Walmart and pick on up, you probably don't read sites like this anyway. This story will hopefully be changing according to Nintendo CEO Reggie Fils-Aime.

According to Fils-Aime there will be "substantially more than the launch, substantially more than has been seen to date" during this holiday season. That's good news, because you can bet that more than a few kids will have it marked down on their lists this year.

Unfortunately, they are going to be shipping out mass quantities of Wii's just as people start their holiday shopping. So more consoles plus more people buying means that they still are going to be difficult to find. I'm sure that if you're diligent enough, you'll be able to figure out when your local stores get their new shipments in, and grab one for yourself.
