Nikon Coolpix S1000pj Projector-Camera Among Latest Picture Leaks

Having only been talking about Nikon's pico-projector-packing digital camera earlier on today, images of the digicam – plus three other upcoming point-and-shoots – have leaked.  The Nikon Coolpix S1000pj is the production version of the VP650 prototype, and packs a compact projector module in the center of its casing.

That can be used, according to the previous rumors, to project an 8 x 12 inch photo onto a wall or nearby surface, making it easy to show off your latest snaps to family and friends.  Full specifications are unknown, but the S1000pj's markings do confirm it has a 5x wide-angle optical zoom.

As for the other cameras, they are the Coolpix S70, the Coolpix S640 and the Coolpix S570.  Each has a 5x optical zoom, which in the case of the S70 looks be internal.  We'll have to wait for full specifications of each new model, as well as retail price and availability.
