LEGO Jurassic World Sets Debut At International Toy Fair

The American International Toy Fair is currently underway in New York, and while it's a no-brainer that Lego is present, new Star Wars sets aren't the only thing they're showing off. With the new Jurassic World movie to premiere in theaters this June, Lego is using the Toy Fair to take the covers off the official corresponding block sets to go on sale in May. This is fans' first look at the Jurassic World sets, following the news from late last year that Lego had secured the licensing, and last month it was revealed that the forthcoming Lego Jurassic World video game will cover all four movies in the franchise.

Lego fansite Bricks & Bloks is present at the Toy Fair and has already shared a video that offers a quick look at the Jurassic World sets. So far there are five on display, featuring a mix of vehicles and compounds from the movies, and, of course, lots of dinosaurs.

There's T-Rex Tracker (75918), Pteranodon Capture (75915), Dilophosaurus Ambush (75916), Raptor Rampage (75917), and Indominus Rex Breakout (75919), which seems to give an early look at that genetically modified mystery dino from the Jurassic World trailers. The Raptor Rampage set also appears to include the minifig for the movie's motorbike-riding hero played by Chris Pratt.

Individual pricing for the sets isn't clear yet, but they are scheduled to begin appearing on shelves a few weeks before the movie's release. Between these and an incredible 32 Star Wars sets to be released throughout 2015, this year is looking to be very busy, and expensive, for fans of both Lego and movies.
