Kobo eReader To Be Handed Out To Fairmont Hotels & Resorts Guests
When you stay at a major hotel now-a-days, you expect more than the normal amenities of yesteryear. In today's world, we expect new and shiny toys to keep us busy while we're in our rooms, or walking around the grounds. Those comfortable robes just don't cut it anymore. And if you're looking for a nice little treat, then maybe your next stay should be at a Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, as the lodging has just announced a partnership with the Canadian-based Kobo, as well as Random House to make sure that guests are well taken care of.
Kobo, which manufactures the Kobo eReader, has declared that they are working with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts to bring their digital reader to President's Club guests. So, it's not meant for everyone. And, at the time of the announcement, it looks like only 10 branches are getting the ability to hand out the eReader at this time, but we're sure that will change in due time.
Random House has also agreed to take part in the deal, making it so that a few thousand of their titles are made available to guests, out of the two million books the publisher has at the ready. Those books are free to download, too, so that should help the pocketbook at least a little bit. But, if you need a book and want to buy it, you can also opt to set up a Kobo account and start downloading books that way, for a price. Check below for the full list of the branches handing out the eReader.
