Geohot's Limera1n Jailbreaking Utility Now Available For Mac
It's been said in the past that the jailbreaking community for iDevices never sleeps. And the community certainly has been busy this last week, especially with the release of Geohot's latest jailbreaking utility, Limera1n. The release of Limera1n caused a lot of waves throughout the community, as well as all those people out there who take advantage of jailbreaking (or more) their iDevice. But, unfortunately, Limera1n was only launched on PCs, which occured on 10/10/2010. Four days later, that's finally changed.
The iOS 4.x utility has now been officially released for Mac. The method behind the jailbreak is pretty easy, for the end-user, as all it takes is a single click to "make it ra1n." The result should be a fully jailbroken iPhone. The utility can be downloaded from the Limera1n website, and as usual it's a free download. If you go through the process, let us know how it goes in the comments below. And the utility should work for all iDevices, including the iPad, running on iOS 4.x.
