CBS And Hulu Plus Talks Confirmed

Back in late June a rumor surfaced that CBS and Hulu were in talks to bring CBS programs to the Hulu Plus service for fans to watch. CBS is the top broadcaster in the country and was one of the big holdouts that didn't offer programming via Hulu.

That rumor has now been confirmed with CBS CEO Les Moonves telling Reuters in an interview that CBS and Hulu were in fact in talks to add CBS shows like CSI and Two and a Half Men to Hulu Plus. According to Moonves CBS had previously shied away from Hulu to ensure flexibility.

The introduction of a subscription service has CBS interested. Undoubtedly, the reason is that the subscription service will get CBS some money. CBS also historically didn't want to limit itself to Hulu as the only streaming option. Apparently, that sticking point has been solved since CBS recently announced that it signed a streaming content deal with Comcast good for a decade.
