AT&T To Offer $50 Unlimited Prepaid Plan For GoPhone Starting June 26
AT&T announced today that it will be offering a new $50 prepaid unlimited talk, text, and web plan for its GoPhone program. The promotion promises a savings of 20% and will start nationwide on June 26. Now, before you get too excited, you do have to pay for additional data service if you're opting for to use the plan with a smartphone.
The plan is available to both new and existing AT&T customer and you can signup for the new plan at any of AT&T's company-owned retail stores, online, or at any authorized retailers nationwide. Unlimited text and instant messaging are included for Mexico, Canada, and 100 other countries. A new phone recommended for the plan is the Pantech P7040p quick messaging phone, which will be released on the same day for $59.99.
But if you want to use your smartphone, you will have three data plan options to choose from. They range from an additional $5 to $25. The nice thing about the GoPhone program is that you won't be strapped into a long term contract. They're certainly targeting this just in time for the summer break season.
