ASUS EeeBook X205: Windows 8.1 With The Budget In Mind
Alongside the maker's new ultrabook comes the ASUS EeeBook X205, the company's budget-centric compact laptop bringing with it Windows 8.1 and, says ASUS, a "smartphone-like experience." Unlike Eee laptops from days gone by, the X205 is slim and sleek, and will be launching in four different color options.
The EeeBook X205 has an 11.6-inch display and weight of less than 1kg/2.2lbs, with the aforementioned "smartphone-like experience" coming from the inclusion of Connected Standby technology. With this tech, the laptop can resume nearly instantly from Sleep Mode.

ASUS promises users their social networks and email are always connected, whether the X205 is in standby mode or not, also contributing to so-called smartphone experience. As mentioned, you'll be able to grab the laptop in four colors: black, white, red, and gold.
In addition to the EeeBook and the recently unveiled ZenBook ultrabook is the ZenWatch, ASUS's first wearable offering Android Wear and ZenUI, the latter of which is a boon to those who already own an ASUS smartphone.
