Tomorrowland trailer drops following NYCC panel

Disney's planning to release a world-hopping mystery film titled "Tomorrowland" next year, and ahead of it comes both a trailer and a panel at the New York Comic Con. George Clooney decided to make an appearance during the latter, according to Deadline, joining the show's opening panel. Though Clooney is part of the oft-teased movie, he wasn't originally slated to be part of the panel for reasons that were apparently a farce. More importantly, the panel released details on the movie, and joining them is a trailer we have for you after the jump.

NYCC organizer ReedPop spams attendee Twitter accounts

The radio frequency identification (RFID) tags embedded in ID badges for this year's New York Comic Con were used to spam attendees' Twitter accounts the moment they walked into the Javits Center. The spam took the form of overly enthusiastic tweets like "#NYCC is the Best Four Days of my Year!" and "So much pop culture to digest! Can’t. handle. the. awesome.", followed by a link to the NYCC page on Facebook. Attendees were not warned ahead of time about this, and the spamming was intentional.

The Star Wars Rebels art design we were hoping to receive a hint about back in May has arrived, and then some, by way of the New York Comic Con (NYCC). First came an in-film prop: a propaganda poster depicting three Stormtroopers, overlaid with a snippet of the Aurebesh language in a Borg-esque typeface. EDIT from Chris Burns: This television series will, indeed, be canon - you will have to teach your kids about who shot first, then watch this series with them as it unfolds.
