2012 Ford Focus Electric AT&T MyFord Mobile app hands-on

Today we had a chance to speak with a fellow named Dylan who was representing the Ford Motor Company and their soon to be released 2012 Ford Focus Electric car. Our first encounter included no less than an in-depth look at how the mobile application MyFord Mobile, made specifically for this vehicle, worked with and assisted the vehicle in real time. This may well be the first vehicle to ever be released and promoted with a free app to go with it - and it's not as absurd as that sentence makes it seem!

Ford updates MyFord Touch in 250k vehicles after complaints

Ford unveiled the MyFord Touch system with a lot of fanfare a couple years back. The system is an extension of sorts to the very popular and cool Sync system that Ford has in many of its vehicles. There's a war going on for your dashboard, and while Apple CarPlay and Android Auto might have designs on your digits, homegrown systems like Ford SYNC 3 aren't giving up. Latest iteration of Ford's infotainment platform, SYNC 3 raises its game in touchscreen responsiveness, voice recognition, and third-party app support. That makes a whole lot of difference behind the wheel, as I discovered when I took it for an extended test-drive in one of the first 2016 cars to offer it, the new Ford Escape.

Talking Ford GT and self-driving cars with CEO Mark Fields

Ford CEO Mark Fields is on a mission, and while aluminum, rubber, and steel might be the most obvious part of that - whether a truck like the F-150 or a legitimate supercar like the GT - the blue oval boss wants to make sure technology gets its dues. I revisited Ford’s Research and Innovation Center in Palo Alto, California to talk about autonomous vehicles and how they can co-exist with super-niche metal like the GT, why the rule book for selling trucks can be the blueprint for the connected car, and just how Ford is going about being good geek neighbors.

Shelby GT350 Mustang price tipped plus GT350R

Ford's meaty and much-anticipated Shelby GT350 Mustang was one of the high points of the LA Auto Show earlier this month, and now we may have an inkling of just how much the 500HP+ pony-car might cost. The return of one of the most closely-associated nameplates with Mustang, the Shelby GT350 is aiming to straddle the line between road car and track monster. However, there's also said to be even hotter versions of the Shelby Mustang in the pipeline for 2015.
